Korea & Japan Food Guide is an independent food and travel publication for visitors planning meals in Korea and Japan. We explain what to eat, how to order, and how to fit a restaurant into a realistic travel day.
Our destinations
Our coverage focuses on Busan, Seoul and Jeju in Korea, and Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka in Japan. Food culture and practical restaurant information are the core of this guide. Publicly documented celebrity visits may provide context, but do not determine every recommendation.
How we research
Research-based guides are compiled from restaurant websites, tourism organisations, public menus and attributable reporting. We distinguish researched information from first-hand visits. We do not claim to have eaten a dish, visited a restaurant or tested a service unless that experience has actually occurred. Prices, hours, queues and reservation rules can change; check the linked official source before travelling.
Celebrity references
A celebrity association must be supported by an identifiable source. A member’s visit is not described as a visit by the entire group. A takeaway order, promotional appearance and restaurant visit are different events. Additional restaurants in a food roundup are not implied to have been visited by the celebrity.
Images and corrections
Images must be our own, licensed for use, supplied with permission, or displayed through a permitted embedding method. A photo credit alone does not grant permission. Illustrative images are labelled and never presented as photographs of a specific restaurant. Sources and image credits appear with the relevant guide. Factual errors and outdated information are corrected when verified.
Advertising and independence
Advertising, sponsored placements and affiliate links will be clearly identified where used. An affiliate link may earn us a commission if a reader books or buys through it. Commercial relationships do not justify invented reviews or unsupported claims. This site is not affiliated with any artist or entertainment agency.
